I love this thing, and more importantly, I love the concept. Why are cars so damn big, anyway? And they only get bigger. The whole point of a car is to transport your ass from point A to point B, so what’s the point of a 5500 pound boat? If this little thing had an electric motor and about triple the power, it’d be an efficient and fun rocket. You could slap an extra wheel on there, and maybe even rig up a cheap iPod dock and air conditioning unit. That might bring the weight to a ghastly 300 pounds though.

This is what cars are all about. While it might only have a 217 hp motor, its weight still teeters around 2000 lbs, making this Lotus pretty quick: 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. This roadster’s as nimble as ever and even gets good gas mileage. Check out Autocar’s full review above.

Behold! A test drive of Lamborghini’s craziest contraption. I say crazy because its style is a few steps beyond anything Lamborghini’s made for decades, which was already quite different than anything preceding it.

The Telsa’s a completely electric sports car that has 260 HP and goes from 0-60 in 4 seconds flat. It does cost $92,000, but it’s pretty, nimble, and quite fast. The fuel equivalent is about 135 MPG and it can go over 200 miles on a full charge.

Edmunds has test driven the Tesla Roadster, and added video to its site.
