Disclaimer: This calculator is based upon formulas circulating the Internet, that are believed to be relatively accurate. These numbers do not mean anything in real life, but they provide an estimate. Many other factors, such as gearing, power curve, drivetrain, and traction relate to acceleration and general car performance.

Convert 1/8th (eighth) Mile to 1/4 (quarter) Mile Time (ET)

Input 1/8th mile track time:
seconds with

Your quarter mile time is approximately:
seconds

Note**: Poor traction results in more of your power reaching the ground in the last 1/8th mile of the track. In other words, if one car has more power than the other but worse traction, it could potentially run the same 1/4 mile despite having a worse 1/8th mile time.

Additionally, this calculator is most accurate for cars in the 8.99 to 13.99 range. It does not account for 60-foot times as well on slower cars, which have poor 60-foot times despite having great traction. For slower cars, do not pick “great” traction, even if the tires do not spin at the track.
