Wicked MPH, terrible ET. The reason? It’s a simple way not to get kicked off the track for being too fast: roll out to start the clock, count to 3, then hit the gas. I know I did this when I was running my friend’s mid-11 second 911 Turbo at Battle of the Imports. Too bad the jackasses DQ’d me for other reasons I won’t get into. *sigh*

Remember these cars? I remember hearing so much about the Super Stallion years ago. It had carbon fiber body parts, 8-piston calipers, and it actually handled very well considering its chassis. Perhaps the coolest thing about it was that its supercharged 4-cam 5.4 V8 that ran on ethanol and put out almost 600 horsepower — all in 1998.
There’s more info about this mythical Mustang here.
The other Ford I remember hearing about but never saw in action (except video games) was the GT90, a concept car that never made it into mainstream America. Apparently the car handled like crap, but it was still a very interesting one, with a V12 making around 700 HP:

Remember folks, wheelstands are dangerous.
This one’s pretty crazy, too. About halfway into this video, you’ll see what I mean.
Finally, here’s the first-person view of another rollover.
You’ve got to love the sound of concrete peeling the paint from sheet metal.
