Okay, okay… unfair headline. WRC is probably the best rally. But amateur rally is damn exciting. It’s always fun to see people who aren’t as skilled on dirt and ice try to go as fast as the professionals. The cars still have a lot of horsepower and fly around like nothing but lack much of the safety equipment and response team, increasing the excitement.Maybe I should just rename the headline to, “Not-quite-WRC rally is still damned exciting”? Ahh screw it, just watch.

Not car related, but I’ve never seen a crash quite like this before. The original video was deleted from Youtube, but showed that last angle clearly, where the plane’s nose is touching the ground and it seems to hover like that for a couple seconds before crashing down. If I find another version of this video I’ll post it up, but the swooping jet above is scary enough to give you an idea.
