Car Acceleration Database Updated

Just a heads-up folks — I’ve made some major updates to the Car Acceleration Database that I coded up a while back. It’s still far from anything I’d want to show to an advertiser or loved one, but it’s a start toward a neat project that I’m passionate about.

What’s new?
-Ajax sorting of data by year, manufacturer, model, 0-60 times, and 1/4 mile ET
-Google links to images, videos, and information about each car
-Filter by brand name or year
-Ability to add stock cars that are missing

What doesn’t work yet?
-A real “search” feature
-Paginated data for all items (the 2nd page of data is by default always the 2nd page of quarter mile entries, not the 2nd page of horsepower ratings, for example)
-Horsepower/weight/other data for every car

Check it out!

PS - If you’re a programmer or simply want to help develop/test/give feedback for this section of the site, please contact me. Thanks.

These numbers do not mean anything in real life, but they provide an estimate. Many other factors, such as gearing, power curve, drivetrain, and traction relate to acceleration and general car performance.
