Japanese Magnetic Hybrid Motorcycle

Plug it in, charge it up, then ride a silent motorcycle up to 112 miles. I usually won’t post stuff like this here, but I thought this was neat because of the mechanics (er, magnetics?) involved. Tokyo-based Axle Corporation says that the battery of the next-generation electric vehicle motorbike can be charged at home, in the same way as a cellular phone. It takes a little over 6 hours to fully charge the battery, and the vehicle’s maximum speed is capable of reaching 150 kilometres per hour (93 miles per hour).
I’m glad to see magnetic motors being brought into mainstream. Who knows when we’ll get anything like this state-side, though.
